The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to User Technology Associates, Inc. (UTA) to provide data engineering services to maintain operations on DSWA's Data Engineering Center (DEC 1) for a period of 4 months. The contractor shall be responsible for conducting document scanning, conversion and data engineering in support of the Data Archival Retrieval Enhancement (DARE) data population effort. UTA is currently providing this support under DSWA contract number DNA001-93-C-0103. The contractor shall also provide support for the DEC reengineering and automation effort. DSWA believes that UTA is the only responsible source which currently has the unique experience base that is required to cost effectively conduct the effort in the immediate time frame required.
