C -- DESIGN REPAIR OF AIRCRAFT PARKING RAMP SOL DAHA42-97-R-0006 DUE 061697 POC Contract Specialist, Sherri D. Shepard, (801) 576-3884, (Site Code DAHA42). Project scope covers the design to repair the aircraft parking apron at the Utah Air National Guard Base, Salt Lake City, Utah, to include removal of approximately 10,400 square yards of existing asphalt, concrete, and base and installing new base and concrete parking ramp with drainage facilities. The scope of services includes geo-technical investigation, preparation of design documents (specifications and drawings) cost estimates, economic studies and reports, construction inspection, material submittal reviews, and change order processing for the design and construction of this project. Technical capabilities required but not limited to geo-technical, civil, and structural disciplines. Evaluation factors in order of importance are (1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; (3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) Past performance on contracts with government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules; (5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; (6) Demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered materials and achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design. Four firms will be selected by a pre-selection board. These firms will be interviewed in person by the final selection board and will be evaluated on the above criteria. This will be firm fixed contract with options for each phase. The construction cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This is not a Request for Proposal. Responsible firms of all sizes are invited to submit Standard Form 254 and Standard Form 255 to the Contracting Office. (0129)
