Within fifteen days after the date of this announcement, DARPA intends to issue a purchase order for less than $100,000 to the Boeing Corporation (SSD-HSV) for R&D in support of DARPA'S ADVANCED LOGISTICS TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM; specifically to: 1) demonstrate that Cots System Health Monitoring Technologies can be used to obtain near real-time military asset readiness system data; and 2) assemble a preliminary system health data base that will facilitate the development of predictive logistics tools for the Abrams Tank Platform. The planned duration of this R&D is less than twelve months. The contractor is the only source known to the Government that possesses the background, experience and capability in the required disciplines as they apply to the Abrams Tank Platform to accomplish this R&D within the prescribed budget and period of performance.
