AMERSHAM Corporation is the only known producer of large area alpha sources completely compatible with the NIST-Designed Alpha Probe Positioning Asssembly (proper dimensions, correct activities, adaquate source uniformity) and at the same time exhibiting minimal removable activity (a critical safety feature).
