Resources and Services Administration proposes to negotiate a contract
on a sole source basis with The Society for Advancement of Chicanos
and Native Americans in Sciences (SACNAS), University of California,
1117 High Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95064 to (1) support and expand K-12
Teacher Workshop presented annually for elementary, middle and high
school science and math teachers, (2) develop, implement, and evaluate
a culturally-relevant Model K-12 Science Curriculum which could be
presented nationwide, and (3) to increase the number of elementary,
middle and high school students interested in a career in the health
professions via attendance and participation in the SACNAS National
Conference and Young Science Scholars Program for Hispanic and Native
American youth. The requirement is for a period of thirty-six months.
SACNAS is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the
required work and services as set forth in 41 USC 253 (c) 1. Only one
source is available. Interested parties may in writing identify their
interest and submit a capability statement within 15 days from the date
