The Defense Supply Service-Washington, on behalf of Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) Program Management Office (PMO), intends to procure services for Maintenance of the Informix system, related parts and components of the software environment as they relate to Informix products. Maintenance will also include hotline support for both the development and user community. It is the Government's intent to negotiate a firm fixed price commercial contract on a sole source basis for a base and four option periods, with Informix, 16011 College Blvd., Lenexa, KS 66219. This synopsis is a notice of intent, and should not be considered a Request for Proposal (RFP). NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS and requests for such will not be considered. However, if a response is received that meets the requirement, and analysis indicates a competitive acquisition would be more advantageous to the Government, a formal solicitation may be issued. Prospective contractors must respond to this notice in writing (15) calendar days after date of publication of this notice. In the event that no potential source responds with clear and convincing evidence documenting the ability to satisfy this requirement, an award will be conducted with Informix.
