JAMAICA: STANDARD SPECIFICATION FOR THE LABELLING OF RETAIL PACKAGES OF PESTICIDES The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.97.178. 1. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the notified document: Standard Specification for the Labelling of Retail Packages of Pesticides (Approximately 23 pages). 6. Description of content: This document gives definitions of relevant terms and outlines the information to be included on labels of retail packages of pesticides. It specifies the wording and the method of display to be used for such information. The document also gives visual aids of various types that should be used. 7. Objective and rationale: To provide relevant and adequate information to assist in the protection of the consumer of retail packages of pesticides. 8. Relevant documents: A Notice of the standard will appear in the Jamaica Gazette Supplement -- Proclamations, Rules and Regulations. When adopted, the document will appear as a Jamaica National Standard which will be available for sale. 9. Proposed date of adoption: July 1997; Proposed date of entry into force: July 1997. 10.
