content: The purpose of Colombian Technical Standard 3970 (Transport of
Class 7 dangerous goods. Radioactive materials. Packing/packaging and
land transport by road) is to establish the requirements to be met by,
and the tests to be performed with respect to packing/packaging and
land transport of Class 7 dangerous goods. It also sets out mechanisms
for monitoring the transport of Class 7 dangerous goods, reducing the
risks to people, objects and the environment connected with land
transport of radioactive materials and with related and supplementary
activities. 7. Objective and rationale: Protection of life and consumer
