CONTROL RADARS, REPLACEMENT SPARES, AND ASSOCIATED SUPPORT DUE 062797

issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the multi-year production of and
related support for 207 ea. Fire Control Radars (FCRs), replacement
spares, and associated logistics and engineering support. The FCR will
be used as Government provided property for the modification of the
AH-64A aircraft (A/C) to the AH-64D Longbow Apache configuration. This
contract is a follow on to the Lot 1 production DAAJ09-95-C-A002 and
Lot 2 production DAAJ09-96-C-0114 contracts. The FCR and related
support will be procured under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The FCR is a major
system that best meets the Government's needs and is only available
from the original manufacturer (reference FAR 6.301-1). The source for
the procurement of and related support for the FCR is the Longbow
Limited Liability Company (formerly Joint Venture) consisting of
Lockheed Martin Electronics and Missiles, Orlando, Florida and Northrop
Grumman Tactical Systems, Baltimore, Maryland. Any technical data in
the Government's possession is limited or is not suitable for
production purposes. Opportunity for subcontracting with the Longbow
Limited Liability Company is the basis for this synopsis. This notice
