Z -- INSTALL SEPARATE ROOM THERMOSTATS IN BUILDING "B", CDC FACILITIES, LAWRENCEVILLE CAMPUS, ATLANTA, GA SOL 97-108 POC Leroy King, Contract Specialist Presolicitation Notice-Furnish all necessary tools, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation to provide and install Separate Room Thermostats for five (5) existing animal rooms in building "B", CDC Facilities, Lawrenceville Campus. The addition of the separate thermostats requires the removal of the existing supply ducts and the addition of new supply ducts above the existing animal room ceilings. Removal of the existing ductwork and the installation of new ductwork requires the removal of the existing plaster ceilings in the corridor and animal rooms. All existing lights, access panels and air registers will need to be removed. The existing surface mounted lights will be reused. The existing access panels will not be reusable. New access panels will need to be provided at new and existing locations. The animal room ceilings will need new access panels at the control valves of the new ductwork above. Thermostat control wiring shall be provided and run into the existing CMU walls; accessavailable from the top of the wall above the ceiling. The Control wiring shall be tied to an existing building automation system. Due to the nature of the work, the scope includes painting of the animal room walls, ceilings and floors as well as the entire length of the corridor ceiling, walls and walls. Work in the animal rooms will need to be limited to thirty (30) calendar days. The Government shall vacate the construction areas prior to construction. Government personnel will remain in operation in areas immediately adjacent to the construction. The estimated cost range of this requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000 and is SET-ASIDE for SMALL BUSINESSES. Solicitation 97-108 will be available on or about 7/2/97.
