This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1 PI-Q-0008-97 and is issued as an request for quote. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisiton Circular 90-46. The purchase is for Threaded-Cutter, Receding-Segmintal-Die. The description is as follows: NSN 5136002875196, supplied in accordance with Commercial Item Desription A-A-305, dated 11/10/79. This is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for 2 years with a minimum guaranteed quantity of 50 each and a maximum estimated quantity of 150 each. Delivery shall be made 30 days after receipt of delivery order. Delivery order limitations in accordance with FAR 52.216-19 are 20 each minimum per order and 75 each maximum per order. Delivery, inspection, and acceptance will occur at the FOB Destination point: Federal Correctional Institution at Three Rivers, Texas, Hwy 72 West, Three Rivers, TX 78071-4100. FAR Provision 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall submit a signed and dated quote to UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries (FPI), ATTN: Bid Custodian, at the address below or by fax at (202) 305-7363. Quotes may be submitted on Standard Form (SF) 1449 or letterhead stationery and must indicate the solicitation number, due date and time, name, address, and telephone number. The contracting officer will make award based on price and delivery in accordance with FAR 13.106.
