16 -- H-46 SEAKNIGHT DYNAMIC COMPONENT UPGRADE POC Contact, Brian Neiheisel, Phone (301)342-4659 The Naval Air Systems Commend intends to contract with the Boeing Defense and Space Group Helicopters Division of Philadelphia, PA for engineering analyses services of a non-personnel nature to develop and evaluate a design improvement to eliminate or minimize galling in the H-46 Sea Knight helicopter dynamic component upgrade hub horizontal hinge bores and hub shoulders, and the lower fold stop on the pitch housing and blade attachment fitting. Boeing is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the H-46 Helicopter and is the only firm with the necessary knowledge, data, equipment, and experience to perform this effort.
