ELECTRICAL DESIGN SERVICES, MALMSTROM AFB, MT SOL F24604 97 R0006 POC

services are required for the design of miscellaneous operations and
maintenance projects and supporting services at Malmstrom AFB, Montana.
An open end contract will be issued for a period of one (1) year with
the option for one additional year. Projects will be issued to the A-E
firm by delivery orders against the awarded contract. The total amount
of individual delivery orders issued during the basic year shall not
exceed $495,000.00 nor shall it exceed $495,000.00 during the one year
option period. Individual delivery orders will not exceed $299,000.00.
The cumulative total for the base year and the option year shall not
exceed $990,000.00. Delivery orders will be issued as the need arises
during the course of the contract period. Design services will be
conjunction with minor remodeling and maintenance projects, including
preparation of drawings and specifications. Various types of A-E
services such as, investigation, inspection, reports, and cost
estimates may also be required as relates to the project design.
Projects will require primarily the mechanical and electrical
disciplines with support from the architectural and civil disciplines
as needed on specific projects. A minimum of $5,000.00 in delivery
orders will be issued under this contract (including the option year).
A firm fixed price A-E contract (indefinite delivery/indefinite
quantity) will be used. The estimated award date is August 1997.
Significant selection criteria, in relative order of importance
include: (1) Professional Qualifications necessary for satisfactory
performance of required services; (2)Specialized experience and
technical competence in the type of work required; (3) Capacity to
accomplish the work in the required time; (4) Past performance on
contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of
cost control, quality work, and compliance with performance schedules;
(5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and
knowledge of the locality of the project; (6) Demonstrated sucess in
prescribing the use of recovered materials and achieving waste
reduction and energy efficiency in facility design and (7) Dollar Value
of Prior DOD Awards. Firms that have lower dollar values of DOD awards
during the past three years will be given a higher rating than those
having higher dollar awards. A-E firms which meet the requirements
describe in this announcement are invited to submit a complete Standard
Form 254 and Standard Form 255, U.S. Government Architect-Engineer
Qualifications, to 341 CES/CECR, Attn; Mr. Steve Peterson, 39 78th
Street North, Malmstrom AFB, MT 59402-7536. Firms responding by the
close of buisness on 30 May 1997 will be considered. No other general
notification to firms under consideration will be made and no further
action is required. Thisis not a request for proposal. The proposed
acquisition listed herein is open to both large and small business
concerns. Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC)8711 applies.
