Provide a telescopic boom type crane with a fixed pedestal mount with a dynamic condition rated load for lifting a minimum load of 1500 pounds at an extended length of 30 feet from the center of rotation while operating at sea under a Sea State 5 condition; rotation range of 270 degrees with adjustable stops at maximum angles; minimum luffing angle of -10 degrees to +75 degrees with reference to the horizontal plane and shall be provided with a cylindrical type pedestal mount. The crane shall be designed for use with a remote hydraulic power unit having a 40 HP rated electric motor. The crane shall have "walk-around" controls mounted on the crane pedestal and a provision for remote electrical proportional controls at the end of a 20 foot long tethered cable. It shall be designed for shipboard weather mounting, fitted with stainless steel hinge pins, keepers and fasteners and shall have a pair of 500 watt lights installed at the end of the extended boom. The crane shall be designed in accordance with American Bureau of Shipping and the American Petroleum Institute. Actual certification will not be required. Electrical equipment shall meet IEEE Standard 45. RFQ 97-2496 will be available on or about May 14, 1997 and will close two weeks later. Required delivery date: August 29, 1997.
