USAID/Haiti (Hereinafter known as USAID) is looking for the services of a U.S. or Haitian firm to provide one or more sets of aerial photographs of all Haiti including its islands. The scale of contact prints should be between 1:20,000 and 1:30,000, on a 9.5 or 10 inch format. Offerors have the option of suggesting 1:40.000 but must provide an example of photo enlargement to 1:10,000. Photos must be able to show paths, roads, field boundaries, houses and small rivers on the contact prints. The contact prints must be able to be enlarged to a scale of 1:10,000. The negatives are also to be provided to USAID/Haiti under this contract. Offerors' proposal should specify what films and equipment are proposed to be used for this photo work. Offerors quotes should provide options for one, six, twelve or twenty-four copies of contact prints. The selected contractor would be expected to make every effort to negotiate with airline carriers to allow unexposed film to be imported and exposed film to be exported forprocessing without being x-rayed. Offerors are advised the cloud free days over Haiti are normally common in the month of July, although weather is extremely variable.
