Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) requires
eleven Rigid Guide Antennas. The specifications are as follows: 1)
Antenna shall have a frequency range of 1 -- 18 GHz. 2) Antenna shall
have a nominal impedance of 50 ohms. 3) Antenna shall have an minimum
Power Gain of 6 dBi. 4) Antenna shall be calibrated to the frequency
range of 1 -- 18 GHz. 5) Antenna shall be able to operate as a
receiving antenna. 6) Antenna shall not exceed maximum dimensions of
11" X 9.6" X 6.2". 7) Antenna shall have a maximum weight of 6 lbs. 8)
The radio's frequency connector shall be a type N. 9) Antenna must be
made of a material that is able to withstand variable weather while
maintaining accuracy of measurements. 10) Antenna shall be
unidirectional. 11) Antenna shall be calibrated over 1 -- 18 GHz in
accordance using the ARP 958 method. 12) Antenna shall be mountable on
a flat horizontal plate or mountable on a vertical pipe which has a
maximum diameter of 6 inches. 13) Sail area shall not exceed 80 inches.
There is no formal RFQ. Interested sources may submit a bid either by
