POC Point of Contact -- Jodi Santamaria, Contract Specialist,
908-532-5486. Contracting Officer -- Lawrence Asch, 908-532-5486.
E-MAIL: COMMERCIAL SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS TERMINALS,
santamj@doim6.monmouth.army.mil. The U.S. Army CECOM requests sources
sought for commercially available satellite terminal systems. The
objective of the requirement is to acquire (purchase or lease or
lease-with-option-to-purchase) interoperable and logistically
supportable C-band, Ku-band and Ka-band commercial satellite terminals.
The government anticipates the procurement of both off-the-shelf and
state-of-the-art equipment for these and other bands as they become
commercially available. The Department of Defense, including its
Services and Agencies, and other Departments of the Federal Government
will be able to satisfy their requirements for satellite terminal
systems through this contract. The terminals may be acquired for
installation and use on a world-wide basis and may include contractor
installation, operations and maintenance during the life of the
contract. The terminals will vary in antenna size (e.g., 2.4 meter, 4.6
meter, 11 meter, 15 meter, etc.) and configuration (e.g., C-band
Gateway, C-band Standard Trunk, Ku-band Gateway, Ku-band Standard
Trunk, etc.). Contractors who are interested in this program should
send to Mr. Lawrence A. Asch, AMSEL-ACCA-A-AE, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703,
(908) 532-5486, asch@doim6.monmouth.army.mil, their company name, point
of contact, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address and any
catalogs, brochures or information related to commercial satellite
terminal systems and related services. (0113) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0235 19970428\58-0005.SOL)
