Work includes but not limited to cleaning, repairing and painting all masonry/plaster surfaces. Ornamental iron railings, grates and standpipes which are contaminated with lead base paint will be abated, repaired and painted. Doors, frames and transoms contaminated with lead base paint will be abated, repaired and painted or removed, properly disposed of and replaced. Windows will receive new backer rod and caulk around perimeters. Rooftop guard rails, ladders, bridges and stairs will be painted. Cost range between $250,000 and $500,000. Completion time 180 calendar days. 90 calendar day bid acceptance period required, subject to availability of funds. Bid documents will be made available not earlier than 5-12-97 and must be requested in writing.
