Y -- RELOCATION OF A LOW LEVEL WINDSHEAR ALERT SYSTEM (LLWAS) FACILITY, SIOUX GATEWAY AIRPORT, SIOUX CITY, IOWA SOL DTFA09-97-R-27038 DUE 061197 POC Carrie Coffman, Contracting Officer (816) 426-2642 Project generally consists of, but is not limited to the following: 1.Clear, grub, grade, excavate and fill sites for each new LLWAS facility. Install and maintain erosion control measures. 2. Furnish competent surveying resources to properly layout the sites and provide horizontal and vertical control. Work includes the placement of LLWAS sensor poles and power feeds. 3. Install crushed rock access roads, concrete access roads and surfaced facility plots. 4. Install individual caisson footings for the sensor poles. 5. Install earth electrode grounding system complete with materials and hardware. 6. Install all required wireways, conduits, fittings and components. 7. Trench and install power cables, coaxial cables and GFCI Circuits. 8. Install eight GOVERNMENT FURNISHED steel sensor poles. 9. Implement and maintain a quality control plan and conduct all required tests and checks to verify contract compliance. Estimated price range is under $300,000. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
