U.S. JOINT MISSION MANAGEMENT AND VISUALIZATION CONFERENCE The Association of Old Crows (AOC) will sponsor a Joint Mission Management and Visualization Conference on 28-29 May 1997 at the Sheraton Oceanfront Hotel, Virginia Beach VA. The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum facilitating the exchange of technical information between intelligence, command and control, and visualization engineers and strategists in this high interest and important functional area. The conference Chairman is Brig Gen David Nagy, USAF, Mission Area Director for Information Dominance, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition. The scope of this conference includes presentations by government and industry alike. The presentations will include discussions of recent trends in Joint Mission Management strategies and potential business opportunities and will cover the latest technical developments in Visualization Technologies. Government presenters will include mission management and visualization focal points from the Army, Air Force, Navy, Special Operations, DMSO, and NIMA. The keynote address will be given by Maj Gen John W. Hawley, Director of Requirements for Air Combat Command. Other special presenters include Maj Gen Campbell, USA PEO for C3S, Mr. George Singley III, OSD Dep. Director for Science and Engineering, and Mr. John Gilligan, USAF PEO for Battle Management. Industry presenters include key personnel from BBN, Cambridge Research Associates, Fakespace Inc., GDE, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, and Real 3D. There will also be selective demonstrations of capabilities for review during the proceedings. The conference will be at the unclassified level. This is the first conference designed to provide an in-depth treatment of this important area. It will facilitate expanding one's technical knowledge, obtain understanding of government and industry initiatives, as well as providing an insight into potential business opportunities.
