S -- The Office of Personnel Management (OPM), 1900 E Street NW, Room SB427, Washington, D.C. 20415, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) number OPM-RFP- 97-0322VHB that will lead to the award of a contact for custodial services. NOTICE This is a revision to a synopsis that was published April 9, 1997. Interested parties who already requested copies of this solicitation need not submit additional requests. This synopsis corrects the room number in the OPM address, the size standard and the anticipated RFP release date. The work will take place at the Office of Personnel Management Headquarters building located at 1900 E Street, NW, Washington, D.C. The services include, but are not limited to, floor cleaning, restroom cleaning, floor care work, snow removal, dusting, carpet cleaning and shampooing, as well as the cleaning of the exterior grounds, elevators, guard booths and outside building surfaces. The scope of the effort also includes cleaning of metal surfaces, mirrors, stairwells and landings, and trash and debris recycling. The contractor is responsible for cleaning Venetian blinds, walls and wall coverings, interior windows and glass, a snack bar, vending areas, concession space seating areas, an auditorium and other areas in and around the building. This contract will be for a base period of one (1) year with four one-year options. The contract is to be issued on a fixed price basis with award fee provisions. The anticipated award date is October 1, 1997. This procurement will be conducted as a total set-aside for small disadvantaged business concerns qualified under section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC)for this requirement is 7349. To be considered as a small business, the firm's maximum annual receipts cannot exceed $12 million dollars. Requests for copies of the solicitation should be received, in writing no later than ten days from the date of this listing. Telephone requests will not be honored. However, faxed requests are acceptable. Only one copy of the solicitation will be sent to each requester. The RFP will be available electronically through OPM's Procurement Home Page on the World Wide Web on or about May 2, 1997.
