B -- EXPERIMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL ESTROGENS SOL 222-97-2009(P) POC Barbara Arnold, Contract Specialist, 870/543-7483/Priscella Sullivan, Contracting Officer, 870/543-7271 B- It is the Government's intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with the University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, Missouri, for research services and support for NCTR's experimental assessment of environmental estrogens. The intent of the contract is to quantitate the major potency determinants for two (2) estrogenic chemicals: genistein and methoxychlor. A request for proposals is not available to other sources as this contract is a continuation of research performed by the University of Missouri-Columbia to define a series of complex, linked biological responses and an analytical approach to integrating data such that uniquely define experimental outcomes are obtained, and NCTR has a need to achieve complete data sets within the next ten months to select experimental conditions for a series of two (2) year studies for the National Toxicology Program.
