(513) 366-2126 PR-OH-97-00289: The USEPA intends to negotiate on a sole
source basis, under authority of FAR 6.302, with Environmental
Technical Consultants, Inc., for the acquisition of a Versatile
Particle Analyzer System (VPA). The VPA system shall be capable of
measuring size and density of particles, where density is not constant.
The system shall be capable of measuring the physical properties of
aerosol in both "fine" and "coarse" ranges. The VPA system shall be
able to determine aerodynamic aerosol characteristics, and physical
properties (e.g., density, dielectric and magnetic constant). The VPA
system shall consist of a LDV system, signal detection system, an array
of transducers, and associated drive electronics, high speed data
acquisition and analysis system, pentium PC, 200 MHZ with 5 GB hard
drives with PCI data acquisition system, and necessary software. THIS
IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Sources wishing to be considered must
submit documentation to the office identified above, which establishes
theability to furnish a Versatile Particle Analyzer System.
Documentation must be submitted within 15 calendar days of publication
