The Naval Construction Battalion Center anticipates entering into a sole source procurement with Haemonetics of Braintree, MA, for one (1) each Model 115 Cell Washer, to be used in the Lab/Blood Bank Dept. at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA, for processing frozen blood which has been thawed. Justification is made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be met by one source. This purchase meets government' s minimum need by providing standardization in the training of ship personnel as this is the only one carried on board ships. Sole source negotiations will be conducted with Hoemonetics; however, all responsible sources who can provide the item listed above may respond by submitting a proposal furnishing detailed data and information concerning their capabilities to provide this item.
