The ACS consists of a DMS-100 SN1, Northern Telcom Telephone Exchange, wires, cables, inside/outside cable plants, and other subsystems and equipment. All inside plant personnel shall have successfully completed the applicable manufacturer's maintenance courses and must be certified by Northern Telecom Inc. Outside plant installers/repairers shall have a minimum of 3 years experience in telecommunications installations and repair to include: 1A1/1A2 electronic key systems, pair gain devices, data systems, circuit conditioning equipment, fiber optic, and modular phone installations, maintenance, repair and testing. Period of performance is 10/1/97 through 9/30/98 with two prepriced option periods. This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business. A firm is considered to be a small business if itsaverage number of employees for the past 12 months do not exceed 1,500. SIC 4813, Telephone Communication. Issue date is on or about May 16, 1997.
