The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to enter into negotiations on an other-than-competitive basis with 3R Research, Tarquinia, Lido, Italy to provide and interpret data from Terceira Island, Azores, Portugal. Data to be provided includes Geophysical: magnetotelluric, resistivity, conductivity, and self potential; Geochemical: water, fumaroles, mercury, radon, and helium; Geological: faults, structures, morpho-tectonic, fracture density, volcano-tectonic analysis, and morpho-tectonic analysis; Geographical: rainfall, aerial photos, satellite images, and radar image. The contractor will also provide fabrication, installation, and operation of three remote radon gas sensing units at various sites, recovering radon gas data, performing quality control and preparation of the data for entry into the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data base. A contract will be awarded for one basic year and two option years. Responses to this intent to solicit, other than from 3R Research shall be submitted no later than 30 days from the date of this synopsis and should address specific knowledge of and experience with GIS and radon data from Terceira Island.
