The work includes the following: removal of 37 squares of existing roofing materials down to the wood decking, new eaves and rake flashing, new underlayment and new 360 pound architectural laminated asphalt shingles with a minimum of a 30 year warranty. Includes the removal of 3450 square fee of existing steel siding, translucent fiberglass siding, wood and steel trim and accessories, and a new installation of prefinished materials in the same locations. The steel siding has coatings which contain lead, however, based on TCLP tests accomplished by the government, disposal of painted siding and trim may be accomplished as routine construction debris. Includes scraping and power washing of 8000 square feet of wood surface to remove all paint not firmly adhered and mildew or algae on interior and exterior of the boathouse. Collection of all paint removal debris is included and shall be disposed of in an approved landfill. Paint all new wood trim, existing exposed wood surfaces and Coast Guard stripes and other incidental related work. The estimated construction range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
