Adams 510/535-7219 UST REMOVAL/REPLACEMENT AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN
GROUP NORTH BEND, NORTH BEND, OR Furnish all labor, materials and
equipment necessary to replace six underground storage tanks (USTs) and
remove one oily water separator (OWS) system and the holding tank. The
work includes but is not limited to the following: (A) Station Depoe
Bay: Remove one 3000 gallon diesel underground storage tank; provide
one 1000 gallon aboveground storage tank: (B) Station Siuslaw River:
Remove one 10,000 gallon diesel and one 1000 gallon diesel underground
storage tank; provide one 2000 gallon diesel and one 250 gallon diesel
aboveground storage tanks:(C) Station Umpqua River: Remove one 10,000
gallon diesel underground storage tank; provide one 2000 gallon diesel
aboveground storage tank; (D) Air Station North Bend: Remove two 8000
gallon JP8 Underground storage tanks; Remove the Oily Water Separator
system and 1500 gallon waste oil holding tank; provide two 8000
gallon, JP8 aboveground storage tanks. Provide all required soil and
water sampling as required by state of Oregon. Estimated cost of this
procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000. Drawings and
specifications can be purchased on a first come first serve basis, at
the rate of $25.00 per copy. Phone requests not accepted. Requests by
mail only. Bidder must include payment in the applicable amount by
certified check or money order, payable to "U.S Coast Guard".
Performance period is 240 calendar days after receipt of Notice to
Proceed. Anticipate bid issue date is 28 April 1997. SIC Code for this
procurement is 1629, Small Business size standard is Small if its
average annual receipts for its preceeding 3 fiscal years do not exceed
$17.0 million. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION BEING SOLICITED AND
AWARDED UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION
PROGRAM, ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES ARE ENCOURAGED TO RESPOND. For

of Transportation (DOT Office of Small and Disadvantage Business
Utilization has programs to assist minority, women owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides and 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
