J -- ELEVATOR/ESCALATOR Maintenance and Repair -- The Social Security Administration has a requirement for the Repair and Maintenance of the elevators and escalators located at 300 N. Greene Street, Baltimore, Maryland. The period of performance shall be for one year with four 1-year options. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, parts and materials necessary to perform cleaning, maintenance, inspection, repairs or replacements to elevators, escalators, equipment appurtenances, and accessories, including hoist, machinery, and all cables. There are 13 Westinghouse freight elevators and 34 Escalators. There shall be at least one (1) qualified elevator maintenance mechanic on duty and physically present to provide services between the hours of 6:00 am,to 7:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays.The Contractor shall also comply with the latest edition of the American National Standard Institute Elevator Inspection Manual A17.2.
