The work will consist of placing approximately 80,000 cubic yards of levee fill, constructing a pump station, installing box culvert and gatewell, and relocation of exixting sanitary and storm water sewers. An existing house will be relocated and a parking area constructed adjacent to it. The work will also include various landscaping activities such as asphalt and concrete pedestrain walkways, tree and shrub plantings, etc. The job is IFB No. DACW62-97-B-0010 with a duration of 2 years and is estimated in the $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 range. Bid documents will be available on or about April 30, 1997 at a cost $75.00 per set. A Congressional Act directs that a continuing contract be awarded to undertake this work. The FY 1997 Appropriation Bill reserves $800,000.00 to be spent on this project this fiscal year, however, the President's FY 1998 Budget has not yet been finalized. If Congress does not appropriate funds for FY 1998 and future fiscal years for this work, the contract may be terminated for the convenience of the Government. This is not a small business set-aside.
