S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD PURCHASE ORDER TO DESTRON/FEARING INC. Notice of intent to award a sole-source contract to Destron/Fearing, Inc. for 134.2-KHZ FDXB-ISO transceivers, Model 1000 with documentation. Funding for this procurement being provided by the Bonneville Power Administration for two (2) ea. transceivers to be purchased for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). BPA has competed and tested three prototype stationery transceiver systems that read full duplex (FDX-B) ISO tags. All proposals were evaluated from a multi-agency team. Of the three proposals, the prototype from Destron-Fearing was selected from the prototype evaluation. NMFS will standardize on the Destron-Fearing transceivers since it was the only prototype that passed all dry, wet, and operation and maintenance tests. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
