A -- DEVELOPMENT OF OLDER DRIVER HANDBOOK SOL DTFH61-97-R-00050 POC Behrooz Behpoory, (202)366-4224 CONTRACT OBJECTIVES The objectives of this project are to 1) Perform a comprehensive review of all literature (domestic and international) relating to older driver issues and driving performance as it relates to effects of highway design, traffic control devices, highway operations, etc. 2) Produce an updated Human Factors Older Driver Handbook. 3) Conduct a user-requirements analysis of the user community (highway designers and engineers) to determine the most effective means for the handbook's format and dissemination. 4) Develop an implementation plan for the handbook to ensure it's recommendations are conveyed to the user community. The Federal Highway Administration intends to issue a solicitation within 30 days. Request for solicitation must be in writing. Submit two self-addressed gummed labels to the address indicated above.
