EG&G Florida, Inc., in support of NASA at the Kennedy Space Center, is seeking sources to provide calibration services for a variety of Neutron Radiation Survey Meters, as follows: a) Ludlum Model 15 Neutron Counter (Ranges: 1) 0-500 CPM or approx. 0-10 mREM/Hr; 2) 0-5000 CPM or approx. 0-100 mRem/Hr; 3) 0-50000 CPM or approx. 0-1000 mREM/hr; 40 0-500000 CPM or approx 0-10000 mREM/Hr); b) Ludlum Model 12-4 Count Rate Meter with a model NRD detector (Ranges: 1) 0-10 mREM/Hr; 2) 0-100 mREM/Hr; 3) 0-1000 mREM/HR; 4) 0-10000 mREM/Hr); c) Eberline model PNR-4 Neutron REM Counter with a model NRD detector (Ranges: 1) 0-5 mREM/hr; 2) 50-50 mREM/Hr; 3) 0-500 mREM/Hr; 4) 500-5000 mREM/Hr (*note -- There are 2 LIN-LOG scales for each meter movement.); d) Eberline model ESP-1 Smart Portable (digital) with a model NRD detector, Ranges and units programmable (*Note: the model NRD detector is designed to operate over a range of 1 to 10000 mREM/Hr.). All the units are to be calibrated at two points on each range. These points must be in the range of 10 -- 30% of full scale and 70 -- 90% of full scale, in accordance with ANSI N323-1978. It is estimated responsible suppliers will be capable of providing calibrations over a minimum range of Neutron Radiation intensity from 1.5 mREM/Hr to 7000 mREM/Hr. Interested suppliers capable of per-forming the required calibration are invited to send data packag-es including a detailed description of the process, an estimated turn around time; and a price sheet.
