The work to be performed consists of (1) earthwork for and furnishing all materials for about 2,100 feet of toe drains with 10-inch and 15-inch diameter perforated corrugated plastic drainage pipe. The toe drains will be up to 19 feet deep, and will extend along the downstream toe of Enders Dam; (2) constructing one 8-foot diameter manhole with two v-notch weirs; (3) constructing one flow measurement flume; and (4) dewatering to control the water table for construction of the toe drains and structures. The estimated price range of the work is $250,001 to $500,000. The work is located approximately 2.5 miles southeast of Enders, Nebraska in Chase County. Solicitation packages will be available approximately May 22, 1997. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 11:00 a.m., June 19, 1997, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Nebraska-Kansas Area Office, 203 West Second Street, Grand Island, Nebraska. The contract must be completed within 145 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 for each copy. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Room 2031 Federal Building, Billings, Montana, or the Nebraska-Kansas Area Office, 203 West Second Street, Grand Island, Nebraska.
