Command is seeking potential qualified sources that could offer
solutions to meeting the maintenance of the hardware and software of
the Metrology Automated System for Uniform Recall and Reporting
(MEASURE) Automated Information System (AIS). The MEASURE AIS has a
worldwide network of mini-computers that provide for a distributed data
processing environment to support the Navy Metrology and Calibration
(METCAL) Program. The potential requirement is for hardware and
software maintenance support for 34 Honeywell XPS-100 and 19 Honeywell
DPX-2/360 mini-computers and ancillary peripherals located worldwide.
This includes moving and relocating equipment and repair services
(preventive and remedial). On-call maintenance and repair services are
required on a 24 hour day, seven days per week basis for four
XPS-100/DPX-2 systems in the continental United States sites. The
remaining continental United States sites and the sites outside the
continental United States would require per-call maintenance on a ten
hour per day 0800 -1800 local time, five days per week basis. The sites
with in the continental United States include California, Virginia,
North Carolina, Maryland, Florida, Washington and Louisiana. Sites
outside the United States includes Spain, Japan, Hawaii, and Italy. The
executive software consists of the UNIX SYSTEM V Operating System,
MICROFOCUS-2 COBOL and Quick Application Development (QAD) Screen
handler, by BULL. The communication package utilizes TCP/IP over a X.25
network. This requirement will be classified under the Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for the potential requirement is
7379 indicating a concern, including its affiliates, having an average
annual sales or receipts for its preceding three fiscal years not in
excess of $14.5 million as a small business. Please specify as to your
company's classification as Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, or
Section 8(a). Sources which believe they can provide on-site (e.g.
Government site) support for the potentialrequirement are encouraged to
respond by providing they capabilities statement, along with their
qualifications to perform maintenance on the hardware and software. The
