Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID) Geothermal
Program is soliciting industry interest and capabilities for a
geothermal heat pump (GHP) technology transfer project(s) that will
assist utilities in developing and implementing a successful
residential and/or commercial geothermal heat pump program to increase
the use of geothermal heat pumps nationwide. The Offerors shall
identify utilities that have started or have a strong interest in
starting a GHP program. Recommend to the DOE-ID two to four utilities
to receive GHP technology transfer assistance. This announcement is not
a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The written quotations will be
available April 30, 1997. All requests for copies of the RFQ must be
submitted in writing (facsimile preferred) to Kara Twitchell, Contract
Specialist, fax number (208) 526-5548. The anticipated award date is
May 28, 1997. This is a simplified acquisition and the DOE's Idaho
Operations Office threshold is $50,000. This is a 100 percent Small
Business Set-aside procurement (SIC 8732) in which all responsible
sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, shall be
