Olsen, Contracting Officer, (303) 275-1522 The Western Area Power Administration of the Department of Energy has a requirement for battery chargers for charging 48 and 125 volt, lead-acid calcium-lead switchgear and control batteries in extra-high voltage power substations. Battery chargers shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination to various substations located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price contract, in accordance with FAR Part 12 -- Acquisition of Commercial Items. It is anticipated that one award will result from this solicitation. This proposed procurement is a 100% set aside for small business concerns. All responsible small business concerns may submit a bid which will be considered by this agency. The Invitation for Bids will be issued o/a April 28, 1997. Bid opening date is tentatively scheduled for May 19, 1997. All requests for the solicitation must be in writing.
