Z -- Z-REPAIR ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, BLDG 36, SECTION B, 3200 SOUTH SECOND STREET SOL NMA402-97-B-0007 DUE 052997 POC Paulette F. Martin, Contracting Officer, 314-260-1206/Pam Zavadil, Contract Specialist, 314-260-1206 Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the Repair of the Electrical Distribution System in Building 36, Section B. Work is to include the installation of a 480 volt, 1600 ampere multi-story busway system; connection of the busway to the existing building switchgear; connection of existing 480 volt and 208 volt circuits to the busway system (this will include the installation of new or relocated transformers, panels, and other electrical equipment); reconnection of circuits which supply electrical power to mechanical equipment; and demolition of obsolete existing electrical equipment. Several fire rated rooms will be constructed to house electrical equipment; therefore some remodeling of adjacent office areas will be included. The work shall be performed by an electrical contractor who has experience in the construction of multi-story busway systems. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 210 days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. The approximate cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This project is 100% set-aside for small business.
