Description and Function: The INE consists of an Inertial Reference Unit containing gyros, accelerometers and associated electrical and inertial/output electronics required for interfacing with other air vehicle and carrier aircraft equipment, a core memory element and power conditioning unit for conditioning air vehicle 28 VDC and carrier aircraft supplied 28 VDC and 115 VAC, 400 HZ, single phase power. The navigation guidance shall stabilize and control the AGM-86 air vehicle along pre-programmed flight profiles between precise geographical coordinates using terrain correlation to provide position waypoints.
