Center requires the future attainment of fully automated fabrication of
spherical glass lenses. This will be accomplished by improving the
final quality attained by Deterministic Microgrinding (DMG) and
advanced development of the Magnetorheological Finishing (MRF) process.
Intermediary techniques bidging DMG and MRF will be developed. Subject
to J & A approval pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, the solicitation will be
issued to the Center For Optics Manufacturing, University of Rochester
