This is a notice of intent to prequalify Contractors desiring to be placed on prequalified design/build contractor's list for a period of twelve months from notice of prequalification for the design/build of new postal facilities at various locations in Arizona and may include but not limited to: Phoenix, Arizona-approximately 51,000 gross square feet; Gilbert, Arizona-approximately 67,500 gross square feet. All facility locations will include Postal Service unique features which may include work room, carrier parking, loading docks and support offices, etc. Estimated cost range is $3.8M to $5.2M. Construction starting time is unknown at this time. Primary factors that will be considered are: construction experience, design-build experience, licensing, financial stability/bonding capacity, workload capacity and references from past clients. Other factors to be considered are: project management capabilities, company organization, MBE participation and commitment, geographic location of firms relative to project sites, safety awareness program, previous experience in Postal facility design and construction and quality control program as further described in the Prequalification package. Prequalification packages will be evaluated by the Contracting Officer's staff. All firms will be notified within 60 days of receipt of their application as to prequalification status. No fewer than three and a target number of seven of the most highly qualified Design-Build Contractors will be placed on the prequalification list. Interested firms that meet the minimum criteria stated above, may obtain a Contractor Prequalification package by contacting Donna Johnson in writing.
