The Department of Veterans Affairs San Francisco Medical Center requires wheelchair patient transportation for the greater San Francisco Bay Area: the Contractor will be responsible for a 24-hour operation, providing all personnel, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to provide transportation for wheelchair -bound patient beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Service area will be the greater San Francisco Bay Area which includes an area approximately bounded on the south by San Bruno and Pacifica, California, on the north by the southern Oregon border, on the east by the eastern California border, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. Issue date for Request for Proposals: approximately April 22, 1997. Closing date: approximately May 1, 1997. Basic period of performance: approximately July 1, 1997 through September 30, 1997.
