S -- The Office of Personnel Management (OPM), 1900 E Street, NW, Room SB 427, Washington, DC 20415, intends to issue Request For Proposal (RFP) Number OPM-RFP-97-00322VHB that will lead to the award of a contract for custodial services. The work will take place at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Headquarters building located at 1900 E Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. The services include, but are not necessarily be limited to, floor cleaning, restroom cleaning, floor care work, snow removal, dusting, carpet cleaning and shampooing, as well as the cleaning of exterior grounds, elevators, guard booths and outside building surfaces. The scope of the effort also includes cleaning of metal surfaces, mirrors, stairwells and landings, and trash and debris recycling. The contractor is responsible for cleaning Venetian blinds, walls and wall coverings, interior windows and glass, a snack bar, vending areas, concession space, seating areas, an auditorium, and other locations in and around the building. This contract will be for a base period of one (1) year with four one-year options. The contract is to be issued on a fixed price basis with award fee provisions. The anticipated award date is October 1, 1997 This procurement will be conducted as a total set-aside for small disadvantaged business concerns qualified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this requirement is 7349. To be considered as a small business, the firm's maximum annual receipts cannot exceed $18 million dollars.
