The U.S. Special Operations Command intends to contract with Texas Instruments, Defense Systems and Electronics Division, McKinney Texas for all depot level maintenance, field support services, engineering support services and spare parts necessary to sustain the AN/APQ-174B Multi-Mode Radar (MMR) System installed on MH-47E and MH-60K Special Operations Aircraft. Services shall be performed at Ft. Campbell Kentucky, the manufacturer's facilities and aircraft deployment locations as may be dictated by circumstances. The period of performance shall be 1 Jan 98 -- 30 Sep 98. The contract shall contain an option to continue services during FY 99 (1 Oct 98 -- 30 Sep 99). Texas Instruments, Defense Systems and Electronics Division is the designer, developer and manufacture of the MMR. Texas Instruments retains the patents and all proprietary data rights to the MMR. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the U.S. Special Operations Command. Note 22 applies. (0097)
