The U.S. Special Operations Command intends to contract with Allied Signal Aerospace, Guidance and Control Systems Division, Teterboro NJ for all depot level maintenance, field support services, engineering support services and spare parts necessary to sustain Allied's Control and Display Unit (CDU) utilized on MH-47E and MH-60K Special Operations Aircraft. Services shall be performed at Ft. Campbell Kentucky, the manufacturer's facilities and aircraft deployment locations as may be dictated by circumstances. The period of performance shall be 1 Jan 98 -- 30 Sep 98. The contract shall contain an option to continue services during FY 99 (1 Oct 98 -- 30 Sep 99). Allied Signal Aerospace, Guidance and Control Systems Division is the designer, developer and manufacture of the Control and Display Unit incorporated into the Aircraft's Integrated Avionics System. The Government has only limited data rights. Allied owns all proprietary data and special test equipment required for the CDU. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the U.S. Special Operations Command. Note 22 applies. (0097)
