INSTALLATIONS The following notification is being circulated in
accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.97.56 dated 6 March 1997. 1.
Member to Agreement notifying: SWEDEN. If applicable, name of local
government involved (Articles 3.2 and 7.2). 2. Agency responsible:
National Board of Housing, Building and Planning Agency or authority
designated to handle comments regarding the notification can be
indicated if different from above. 3. Notified under Article 2.9.2. 4.
Products covered (HS or CCCN where applicable, otherwise national
tariff heading. ICS numbers may be provided in addition, where
applicable): Cableways. 5. Title, number of pages and language(s) of
the notified document: Changed Regulations About Lifts and Certain
Other Motor-Driven Installations. 6. Description of content: New and
existing aerial ropeways shall be so designed and installed that the
risk of injury to persons is limited if an unexpected change of the
moving direction of the cableway occurs. One way to fulfil the
requirements in the provision is the solution given in the advisory
note, identical to the one given in the proposal for a PREN
242006:1995, Chapter 6.11.4. 7. Objective and rationale: During the
last years, we have had one accident and several incidents due to the
lack of this safety measure. We want to avoid a more serious accident
happening in the future. 8. Relevant documents: NA. 9. Proposed date of
adoption: About 15 June 1997 and 1 July 1997; Proposed date of entry
