The Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), has a requirement to replace the existing Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Equipment. The required equipment includes; fixed and controllable cameras for interior and exterior use and all associated control and monitoring equipment to include time lapse VCRs and video motion detectors. DS is particularly interested in CCTV equipment that has the following characteristics: 110/220 Volt 50/60 hertz dual voltage capable (all equipment); CCD cameras; Fixed auto-iris and zoom lenses; Rack mountable control and monitoring equipment; Interior cameras powered via the coax video cable; Exterior high speed dome type cameras with pressurized housings; Pressurized exterior tube type housings (for fixed and controlled cameras); Control signals transmitted on video coax line; Exterior Pan/tilts capable of upright or inverted mounting; Cameras to be controllable from master and slave stations. The average CCTV system deployed by the Department has 16 or fewer cameras. At present about 3,800 cameras are in use worldwide. The RFP will be issued in commercial item format and award of a base year and four one year option periods is anticipated. (0098)
