Aberdeen-style trawl bodies with floats installed. Trawls will be built according to NOAA specs and must be delivered to Seattle, WA no later than 5/15/97. Time is of the essence and since trawls will be used on a charter which is beginning in May 1997. Trawl floats must be rated for use at fishing depths of 1500 meters and must be installed on each trawl to yield an aggregate static buoyancy of at least 1,020 lbs. Floats must be "eared" type. NOAA will also purchase two 104-ft. footropes and additional spare netting, mending twine, and related supplies as part of the procurement. Sources responding to this notice must indicate its experience in manufacturing Aberdeen-style trawls and related footropes. Simple requests for the solicitation will not be honored. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. (0094)
