The HQ, Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC), in support of Eighth U.S.Army and U.S. Forces Korea, and other Korean based DOD/Government activities, is seeking to identify potential sources and their capabilities to establish Commercial Travel Offices (CTO) . The government's requirement is to arrange and schedule transportation, lodging and other travel related services in accordance with government policy, and at the most economical cost. The contractor selected shall provide and all personnel, equipment, tools, material, supervision, and other items or services necessary to perform the management and operation of CTOs in Korea. The travel services required includes air, bus, rail, itinerary and ticket delivery, hotel/motel and rental car reservations, assistance with visas and passports and availability of a 24-hour toll free information and assistance telephone number. The CTO contractor will be compensated by commissions earned from travel service suppliers. The government expects that a percentage of the discount earned from airline ticket sales will be paid to the government. This synopsis is open to all firms who are capable of responding to this intent. All firms shall perform the requirements in accordance with all the criteria set forth in Article XV of the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA). All firms shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) by September 30, 1997. No solicitation documentation exists. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis shall be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to all responsive firms who respond in writing to this synopsis of intent.
