66 -- WALLAC 1420 VICTOR MULTILABLE COUNTER SOL RFQ70068-NS DUE 042897 POC Patricia Haun, Contracting Officer, 301-496-8613 The National Cancer Institute (NCI) requires delivery and installation of a Wallac 1420 Victor Multilabel Counter with a Wallac Lab Computer Pentium 100 w/16mb RAM and a HP Deskjet Printer from Wallac Inc., 9238 Gaither Road, Giathersburg, MD 20877. The NCI Laboratory of Biochemistry requires the equipment to allow investigators to read four major label families in a single compact instrument; absorbance, fluorescence, time-resolved fluorescence, and chemiluminescence. NCI's specific requirements include continuous light source for fluorometric and photometric measurements: 1) tungsten-halogen lamp, 75w, spectral range 350-700 nm, 2) rotatable filter wheel, provided with 8 filter positions and standard high quality interference filters 405 nm, 450 nm, 490 nm, 355 nm, 485 nm. The detection unit for photometry must be a photodiode with photometric range 400-700 nm. For fluorometry, luminometry, and TR-fluorometry the detection unit must include photommultiplier tube, R1527 and emission filter slide provided with 6 filter positions-615 nm, 642 nm, 545 nm, 572 nm, 535 nm, 460 nm. Each detection system must be equipped to read 24, 48, 96 and 384 well microtitration plates. The measurement time must be at least 50 seconds for 96 well plates. The detection limit for fluorescein must be (10 fmol/well; europium detection limit (10 amol/well; Eu-linearity 5 decades; measurement range for photometry @ 405 nm 02-A; with accuracty <2% and precision <0.5%. For luminometry the lower limit of detection must be less than a total flux of 10E5 photons/s. The machine must be equipped with in and out stackers for microtitrationn plates. The system requires a Pentium (Intel) compatible PC with 16 Mbyte RAM, 24 Mbyte hard disc space, CD-Rom, serial and parallel porst and high resolution SVGA display and Windows '95, and a HP Deskjet printer. The Wallace 1420 Victor Multilable Counter system is the system that NCI had identified that meets these requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, if any interested party believes that it can meet the above reuirements, it may submit a statement of capabilities. Information furnshed shall include sufficient detail to determin if the equipment meets the foregoing requirements, and must be received within 20 days of the publicaiton of this notice. See Note 22.
